Phaethon has been grabbing our attention for a few days now, appearing opposite the recent full moon. In mythology, Phaethon asked to drive the chariot of the Sun as proof that the great Sun God Helios was indeed his father. But Phaethon drove too fast, too high, lost control and was shot down by Zeus. Sometimes we too, try to grab the reins of life, try to control it the way we see fit. We burn ourselves out trying to prove ourselves to others – prove that we are worthy, valuable, loveable.
Let go of that which is not in your control. Slow down. Release the fear of not being enough. Guard against impulsive reactions. Drive carefully. Enjoy the scenery. Pay attention to self-destructive behaviours. Focus on your own journey. Your light is glorious. Never mind what everyone else is doing. If you want to reach new heights, be more YOU.
