Mental monsters tend to rear their ugly heads when we are going through changes or considering making a change. They are the inner voices that say ‘you can’t’, ‘you shouldn’t’, ‘you won’t’, ‘they won’t agree’, ‘what if…’. And the ‘what’s ifs’ loom like a terrible beast and suddenly you are battling monsters in a fictional future that hasn’t even happened yet!
But what if it’s going to be ok? What if you could deal with what’s to come? What if you trusted yourself just a little bit more? What if you start thinking of it as simply a process of transformation? Naturally as things evolve, things may seem unbalanced or uncomfortable for a while but what emerges is something beautiful. Change your thought beasts to butterflies. Free your mind from monsters.
